The Phenomenal Handclap Band is Daniel Collás, Juliet Swango, and Monika Heidemann. Since 2017, they’ve released numerous critically acclaimed singles on labels such as Daptone, Toy Tonics, and Glitterbox, garnering praise from Paul McCartney, Zane Lowe, Bryan Ferry, Brian Jackson, Gilles Peterson, Elton John, Don Letts, Simon LeBon, and BBC6 radio hosts, to name a few. The band’s EP Burning Bridges was released with Brooklyn label Razor-N-Tape, and featured remixes by Each Other and Prins Thomas. A special preview limited press 12” vinyl-only single was released in 2024 on Lone Limited Recordings. NYC’s own Nublu Records released the band’s “We Are Worlds Away” EP in 2025, featuring the additional singles “Like A Constellation” and “Free Time”. Written and recorded in Stockholm, the EP features collaborators Morgan Phalen (Justice, Drakkar Nowhere), Freddie Swahn (Dungen, Melody’s Echo Chamber), Anders Hansson (Secret Service), JKriv (Razor-n-Tape), and Binky Brice (Billy Ocean, Denroy Morgan).
